Proper Application of United Ortho Short Air Walker Fracture Boot Step 1: Begin by opening all the straps and removing the liner from the boot. Slide your foot into the liner, ensuring that your heel is positioned at the back. For a proper fit, completely remove the top strap. Additional comfort pads are provided to fill any gaps in the liner and offer extra padding where needed.

Step 2: Close the liner, starting from your toes and ensuring a snug fit around your foot and leg.

Step 3: Place your foot with the liner inside the boot, making sure your heel is pushed to the back. Once your foot is in the proper position, attach and fasten the top strap.

Step 4: Fasten the straps from the toes upwards. If your toes extend beyond the end of the liner, you may need a larger size. Ensure your heel is properly positioned at the back of the boot. If you experience any numbness, tingling, or discomfort, adjust the straps accordingly. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

Step 5: To inflate, turn the “inflate/deflate” knob clockwise until it stops turning. Press and release the blue air bulb several times until the liner provides the desired support. The liner may expand during initial use, requiring additional pumps to reach the desired support. To deflate, turn the knob counterclockwise until it stops turning. If the air liner is fully deflated, it may take numerous pumps to restore the desired support.
